Registered Midwives are primary care providers. We provide comprehensive care for women throughout normal pregnancy, labour and birth and for both women and their babies for 6 weeks following the birth. Midwifery care is fully funded by the Ministry of Health. No referral is needed. Please call for further information.

Midwives respect pregnancy as a state of health and childbirth as a normal process.
Midwives promote decision-making as a shared responsibility and encourage women to actively participate in all aspects of their care.
Midwives focus on the appropriate use of technology and preventing complications.
Midwives respect and support women so that they may give birth safely, with power and dignity.
